There´s a metal carpenter and engineer here in Spain that can make everything you need,from 16mm and super 8mm long play units to electric rewinders,bobbins,metal reels in any size for super 8 and 16mm.He has done that kind of thing for over 30 years here in Spain.His name is Julio Castells and have his workshop in Barcelona,his 16mm and super 8 long play units are real workhorse made all in time proof metal,here some photos of his work:

More photos soon.He can do all kind of things for 35mm too.

Hi Bill!
Yes!,he made everything we collectors need,metal reels in any size,electric rewind system for super 8mm,16mm,35mm even 70mm too,reel adaptors...all kind of cinema stuff.His 35mm metal reels are in every projection booth here in Spain.I have the super 8 version of the long play unit and is wonderfull,all metal even the belt that is spring type,run like heaven.

How about being an inbetween man? Google translate is actually dangerous (tried with thai)

How much for a rewind (not need to be electric) for 1200' Super 8?

Hi Vidar!
Google translator works very well from english to spanish,i speak by phone with him today about the manual rewinds for super 8,price is 179 euros,can rewind super 8 reels up to 2600 feet

price for 2600 super 8 reels are 25,50 euros made in aluminun.
