If there is one Disney short that stands out above all the others it would have to be "Lonesome Ghosts" from 1937. If you have not seen the Derann release of this classic you are in for a real treat indeed! The sound is very crisp and bright and just what you would expect to hear from a DVD. The color on the other hand is nothing short of amazing, to say the least. The blacks are truly black and all the colors just pop off the screen like the film was filmed only yesterday. The colors are so vivid that it is just stunning and the ghosts look like luminescent paint that glows on screen. If you see this title pop up from Derann, grab it!!!!

I agree 100%. I've had my print now for over 10 years and it's still as gorgeous as the day it arrived. Most of Derann's products were top quality and, like every other vendor, they've had some misses. This title, however, is definitely a winner!

Yes...this print is about as sharp and nice as a super 8 print can be....the method of drawing the cartoon helps ...nice discernible lines around the characters and objects.... The sound on my print is not quite as crisp as other prints...but OK.

A few years ago I was fortunate enough to obtain a mint copy of Derann's 16mm release of this, for a very good price on eBay. As you can imagine, you see even more detail on the 16mm version, although I still miss my old S8 print in one respect as my 16mm is printed a bit lighter than my S8 one was, which was spot on in this respect.
