Now heres something i hav'nt watched for so long. This is a 400ft spool we have made up of Star Trek Blooper reels 1 & 3. Quite simply an old NBC television programm from the states. There were three 200ft spools released and we did have all three however, two of the reels had duplicated footage and too much padding between the out-takes. Quality varied greatly. I did sell my Brothers reel back along,(a complete reel), and what i have now is a 400ft spool with what i think is the best bits. Reel two was by far the best in both quality and content & i have edited two parts together & in a slighly different order to make up a complete programm, i edited out some scilly made up items of forward/reverse bits to music that was niether funny & in a couple of cases a bit embarrasing to view, im now left with a much more entertaining and funny reel. After a short title sequence we have some quite comical clips of all the usual stuff, forgotten line, short comical shots between takes, Kirk and Spock walking into doors that dont open, falling over, and one Dr McCoy doing the "ships shaking left to right" with a female & as he grabs her to stop his fall we see his hands grab those big jubblies, One of the funniest ones i think is when we see three very nice looking ladies doing some standing excercises between a take,(all to the opening theme music) and as one of male technicians walks behind them to put something on the set one of the girls bends down to stretch and as she does the guy turns to walk, stops and his face is a picture as he stands and & looks at her ass, he then walks away with a big smile and pffffff and laughs at the set camera crew, us blokes will never change we also see some set up laughs, pretty much too many to mention.
Despite the variable quality the colour on these reels is as good as the day i bought them many many years ago, its very good. The sound is fine but the whilst one of the reels image was fine the other had poor focus although its perfectly watchable,(if it wasnt i would have sent it back). The rarity of this item makes it a keeper for us. To see the likes of Lenord Nimoy, William Shatner, James Doohan,Deforest Kelly and gang fluffing lines, tripping and clowning around on set is great fun and certainly makes a great start or finish if your showing any other Star Trek TV super 8 films or the 3 x 400ft ST the motion picture as we did tonight. If you see them for sale there well worth grabbing. [ March 16, 2019, 03:53 PM: Message edited by: Tom Photiou ]

Here is an update to the Bloopers reels.
This was an item from Red Fox many years a go. There were three 200ft reels of this programme from American TV released and i searched out all three when they were new for sale. I cant remember what order i bought them in but here is my 2018 thoughts on this release after watching it again ,first time since my previous review., The first 200ft reel i bought was part 2 and was great, it had the trekky titles with outtakes between the titles, the image is good, (it is only bits of film edited out off the cutting room floor), the sound is actually pretty good, nice and clear with decent bass levels. The content itself is also not too bad, theirs more than enough in there for some really good laughs, but, i did find that for some reason they padded it out with some footage that made me think, "What was that for"? At the end of the day, it was a very good collectable and rare item. I had to look out for the other two releases. I found another one off a Derann list, the quality was abysmal, the image looked like someone cleaned the whole film with a Brillo pad and the sound was a grade C-/B- and very tinny. This one was part one. Half of the reel was made up of utter rubbish, reverse film with music, (not even funny), introductions of the girls, the "muscle" the monsters and other pointless bits. The actual bloopers that were in this reel, (around 50fts worth), were ok even if the quality was awful. Then i found the last part, i was very disappointed to find that this reel had around 70% of repeat footage from part one. I wasn't going to keep this one so i sold it on. What i have ended up with is this, My own edit of the poor quality intro with a few bloopers, then then the good reel of out-takes, (slightly edited to take out the pointless items that marred this part) and the last 30ft made up of the bloopers left over from the poorer reel, so all in all i now have a good 300/320ft reel of Star Trek, Behind the scenes, (as it is introduced by the alligator man monster). I now enjoy this reel and very pleased to report, it does not appear to have any fade. [ July 04, 2018, 04:21 PM: Message edited by: Tom Photiou ]
