I'll just cover the quality aspects of the ones I recently viewed over the holidays...... MICROPHONIES - Picture was a bit soft; Sound was good. WOMAN HATERS - Picture was a bit dark; Sound was good. SWEET PIE & PIE - Picture was very nice; Sound was good. THREE MISSING LINKS - Picture was great; Sound was great. PARDON MY SCOTCH - Picture was a bit dark; Sound was good. WE WANT OUR MUMMY - Picture was great; Sound was great. MEN IN BLACK - Picture was very good; Sound was very good.
A constant I've noticed with many of the Curly shorts from the '40s is that the picture is usually on the softer focus side and the sound is often " bassy" requiring me to turn up the volume more than normal. In the case of WWOM, TML and MIB the sound, like my Shemp shorts, was loud and clear. Very odd. Must be the negs from that decade. [ January 07, 2014, 10:58 AM: Message edited by: Brad Kimball ]
