Hello all, I am selling a complete 35mm Bollywood feature film called Rang De Basanti (2006 Dir: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra )with music by A.R Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire)Bafta nominated and with multiple awards this was a very successful Indian film. Plot wise it concerns an English woman going to India to document her fathers diary that was written in the 1920's. Multiple stars of both the western and Indian screen including Stephen Mackintosh (Inside Men) and Om Pauri (East is East)Beautiful cinematography and all the vibrance that is Bollywood cinema. Iam a fan of that continents cinema so when the chance came for me to acquire an actual celloloid print of a Bollywood success I bought the print but....I still do not have a projector to show it and now its time to sell on. Its a 35mm print in 9 cans (weighs a lot)with a running time over 2 hours. The langquage is Hindi and its colour and according to a leader is in mono sound and SCOPE. All flat wound on cores (AND METAL CANS) and will need rewinding (am assuming this is so it can be spooled onto reels ready for projection.)
Each can with film weighes just under 5kg so the total weight is 45kg (UK I can post via 2 seperate parcels I believe) Overseas may be too expensive. Any way heres the price not inc postage £175. Please email for more info or pics of the cans etc. I have looked a few frames with a loup and the print appears very good, but obviously not projected by me (and no signs of splices etc) Thank you. Oh yes and have a look on Youtube as there are many clips from the film including the opening. Cheers
