I'm rationalising a few little-used machines to make room for my new 35mm Pathe. I'm now selling my Pathescope Lux. This is the superior and very rare YC model, which has a steel gate, rather than the crumbling mazac horror of the earlier model. It has been upgraded to modern 50w QI lighting.
HOWEVER, the bad news: the mechanism has seized up. It's been stored in my house, not a damp garage, so this is a surprise. I'm sure it can be freed up fairly easily by someone who knows what they're doing (though there aren't many of those for a rare machine). Because I hardly used it anyway, I'm deciding to sell it for spares or repair. It looks great as a display item, but I'm hoping someone can nurse it back to a projecting future.
It is the finest Pathescope machine for notched title prints. Here's a much older thread about a similar machine: http://8mmforum.film-tech.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=9;t=000040
Please note, I WILL NOT SHIP. You will have to collect it in person either from my home in Kingston upon Thames, or I can easily bring it into central London, where I work. It comes with a transformer for the lamp - you will either have to use a hand crank off a Pathe Baby, or provide a 110v supply for the motor.
A lovely rare top of the line machine, but in need of some work. Price: £40.
