Just had a great idea from the other forum about using a 39mm to 49mm step up ring and winding PTFE tape around the adapter threads to take up the 1mm play .
Hopefully this idea should work?

If all else fails, try

http://www.srbfilm.co.uk/

They are nice people, very helpful. The post to the US won't be high.

Tim,
What a great site! All sorts of useful little gadgets, very similar to the old New York Spiratone store and mail order company. They have low priced Split-field diopters, which I've been looking for. Thanks!
