Hi All,
I know that the following spool sizes are available for 8mm; 200ft, 400, 600, 800, 1200, 1600 and 2000ft. Also I discovered (through our forum) that 300 ft spools are also available. These came in very handy.
Just wondered if 100 ft spools were ever produced?

Thanks,
Dave

Yes, I have lots of 100' spools, and I've bought them in the past from one or two specialist dealers, but you would have trouble finding any new ones now. Derann used them for some of the trailers/shorts they released in the 1980s, as did companies such as Jeff Films.

I expect you're aware of 50' spools, but I'm sure I also have a really obscure 150' spool, sold in a cardboard box, that's probably of German origin.

Hi,
Indeed, I have a couple of 100ft spool too.

I think that there were use for private super 8 film made with a Beaulieu Camera. Some beaulieu Camera can use cartridge of 100ft.

But I'm not sure of these information.
Can someone confirm?

regards,

JC.

I don't think the 100-ft spools were exclusive of Beaulieu. I have a few reg 8 and super 8 spools, and one even says, "Not for camera use." One of the reg 8's is even metal -- it contains a full-length Disney cartoon.
