Hello to everyone, and a happy and prosperpous 2008 to all members! Just received a Neckermann-HLD sound spu/std-8 projector and tested it;works OK,but in showing std sound films there's an overlapping between sound and image-obviously std-8 sound movies did not have the 18 fr advance;as I don't have the instructions, does anyone know of the specific model and if there is anything I can do to make up for it?

Joerg and Maurice, thank you for your replies & info-didn't know it was 56 fr.advance in Std-8; I think something might be wrong with my machine,as according to the manual, nothing else but the change of the Sup/Std switch is needed for the sound projection.I'll try & open the projector to double-check...

Hi,
take a look at the note about Bauer/Silma-projectors "ignoring" the standard8-standard: http://8mmforum.film-tech.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=003356 As most of the Neckermann-projectors have been bought by Bauer/Silma, there's a high chance that your projector is simply "ignoring" the standard8-standard as well... .

Thanks again Joerg, I posted a reply already to that thread-obviously there's nothing to be done about it;at least I have a relatively cheap sup/std sound projector...
