Hi I have a problem with the drive on my S710D as it sometimes runs forward and not reverse and then reverse and not forward and sometimes not at all.I have tried to clean the rubber drive plate but makes no difference, is there any adjustments or maintainence and repair manuals for these machines please?
Any advice would be appreciated,
Thanks Brian Collins

Hello Brian.
Had this problem many years ago on my 807D and after service the fault was the two sheaths at the bottom of the motor rocker spindles. These do break down with age and you can see one clearly by removing the projector back and looking to the lower right bottom of the machine & motor.
Hope this is of help.

Hi Lee, Thanks for your advice, I have checked those sheaths and they seem to be good, at the moment it is mainly causing problem in 24frames speed but I am not useing that at present so can live with it for the time being. Thanks again.

You can make one with a piece of thick rubber and hard as those taps!
