In NZ we have the English "Boxing Day" name-supposedly because it was the day the lord of the manor gave out boxed presents to those living and working on his estate.However,it really is(as has been said)an "orgy of consumerism".Sensible folk keep their money dry until AFTER the xmas booze-up.Plenty of bargains the day after.Woops,pressed the wrong button(NEW TOPIC).Anyrate,I see I've had my tuppenceworth on this topic!
