To Kevin Faulkner.Have tried to reach you through Skype with no luck. Have a problem with one of my GS1200 ,no sound from internal speakers terrible noise when m/c turned on and off ,projector runs OK and plays back thro,. external amp., OK .had a capacitor( c137 ) blow ,replaced it ,was OK on one speaker for a little while but now as above. Any help would be appreciated thank you Alex

Alex, Not been near the Mac much this weekend. I will give you a call this evening about 10 pm British time which I think is about 5pm your time.
This is typical of Failure of the Sound Output IC.

Leon Norris in Pennsylvannia might have a replacement IC for your GS-1200..

Update:

Alex and I did get it together via Skype and yes it was his sound output IC.
He had a couple of spares so put one in and it cured all his problems.
