Wow, $5k US! That's higher than I would've thought.

Neat idea fitting a side cover handle over the focusing knob the projectors look as if they are in good condition and at $5000 US the seller did well.

Out here a few weeks ago a standard GS1200 in mint condition went for about $100 about 40 pound on a local web site [Roll Eyes]

The market for GS1200 Xenons have gone down a little bit but they still hover around $2500 for one in good condition.

The pics show a different focussing mechanism/holder on those machines. I wonder if they have been changed or if that is how they came from Elmo Japan. I have the service manuals for the GS covering the late std machines and also the xenons but there is nothing like that shown.

GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.

Was I wrong to assume that it was user-modified to keep prying or accident-prone fingers away from bumping the focus?

...Apparently they've been modified with a 'fine focus' adjustment!
