Hello!
Our family has been filming on 8 mm since early 30´s and my faather and me has been continuing this tradition and keep on doing quiet familymovies. I have some interest in the gear and have a small pile of cameras, project on a Eumig 940 and has recently bought a nice big americain (MKM industries) editing table.
OK my question is as follows: I would like to by a projector for my father. It should be dual, at least 100 w and not a hassle to own. The price is not a big issue. His not in to technical stuff and won´t be able to do any repair at all (except for changing the bulb). Any suggestions?
All replies VERY welcome!
Cheers, Gabriel

When I boght my projector I got it from http://super8film.at/

I´m glad I bought it from there and not at eBay, cause I have no idea about how to fix a broken projector. At least when you get it from that site it´ll work [Smile]

Others will probably be able to help you with dual projectors.

Get a Eumig 610D or 607D. Small, compact, many speed options, easy to change the bulb, metal casing, nice fresh white color that looks good.
Brilliant projector.

Hello again. I realise that theresa bunch of threads about this topic... OK the Eumig 610D seems nice. I read somewhere that the lack of "sprockets" could be an issue. Can someone help me out here?
Regards, Gabriel

Hi,

When you buy them at that Austrian shop (under "STUMMFILMPROJEKTOREN" - silent projectors), they'll come with all the needed parts. When you buy them at eBay or on a fleamarket, you'll "only" have to ensure that they include all gear-wheels for both formats [Wink]
