Bill, just like the sprocket holes the sound track is down the middle of the film.

Thanks for a laugh, Paul! So it's just like 35mm in that the picture is shifted and the frame separation is thicker.

Which means that Pathe sound projectors should routinely come with two apertures, right? Or would that just be too practical?

I believe that is correct. Maybe someone here on the forum with a VOX or Son could confirm that.
