Would I be correct in thinking that Single 8 sound cartridges are no longer available and that only silent ones are still around? Also, what about processing of cartridges we still have from a few years ago? Will Fuji still process?

Looks like only silent Single-8 film is available, but it can be striped during processing. And yes, they still accept old film for processing...

Martin Baumgarten in New York just put it up on his Web site that he has BOTH prestriped and sound cartridged Fuji Single 8, frozen, for $16 and $12 respectively:

Pretty unbelievable if so....an impossible to find item at a great great price.
