I'm trying to sort out an annoying problem with a 610D. When I first got it, it would spool film off the feed reel. I've opened it up, and there are two clutch mechanisms which can be adjusted by adding or removing pressure on springs.

I slackened the clutch gradually on the feed side, and everything seemed OK, until I tried to rewind directly from take-up to feed reel (without going through the transport mech). The rewind had become incredibly sluggish.

I've tried all sorts of combinations of slackening/tightening the 2 clutches, but can't seem to nail it.

Anyone got any ideas as to how to proceed?
