I lucked into to this in a job lot but the viewing glass is too aged I think. Does anyone know what it should be like ? It looks opague to me but I can hardly see a thing. I have taken it all apart & cleaned the mirrors etc., but still no better. Thanks..Bev

Did you clean the rotating prism glass and lens? The screen I think is ground glass--maybe somebody replaced it with something else? If it come out easily, try just a piece of tissue paper and see if it's better, then you'll know the screen is the wrong material. Chances are it's dirt on the rotating prism, misaligned lamp or dirty lens. (You've already cleaned the mirrors)
