Hello,

Does anyone know if Dave Thomas (Super8movieman on eBay) has a website proper. If so, what is the web address?

Contacting him via eBay is pointless, nobody ever replies.

Den, I don't think Dave Thomas has a website, just an eBay store. Maybe he hasn't replied due to vacation time. [Smile]

I agree with Joe, it might just be he's "out of the office". Despite the recent series of posts regarding Dave, I've found that he WILL eventually get back to you, just not always in a timely manner.

Thanks for the responses but I have e-mailed his eBay shop on and off over the past 18 months and never received a reply. A friend of mine also tried and heard nothing so I wondered if he only sold from eBay but communicated from elsewhere.

Your email may be getting lost in the shuffle or intercepted by a 'spam' filter of some sort.

If you are trying to resolve an eBay transaction, they provide a means for you to obtain the seller's contact information directly.

This is strange. He has always gotten back to me, sooner or later.

Perhaps, he's stinging from the series of posts concerning him and a certain lense. Honestly, I wouldn't blame him. In retrospect, I think we might have been a little hard on him. (hope your listening in Dave.)

He's ok, takes time sometime - I was trying to hear from Harry H at ESO-S, my letter was returned "Moved, Left No Address" - I called and found out the new address, still waiting to receive his list - Need a 100' can or box, among other things

Osi:

Dave was good about getting back to me about the len's. He does have a good reputation. I ended up trading the entire kit for a print of Irwin Allen's "Fire". Steve told me it had vinegar and it did. I kept the reel's and can's to re-use for my Towering Inferno print.

UH-OH TOMMY,

You're not planning on re-using reels that held a vinegar print, are you??? [Eek!]

Don't do it Tom!

You'll end up with a Vinegar Inferno soon enough if you do.
