Hi

I have a Eumig 926 projector that is missing the plastic sleeve/adaptor that slides onto the drive shaft so that the take-up reel can be fitted onto it. I thought that someone on the forum may have a spare for sale or know where I could get one.
I would be very grateful for any help with this.

Thank you

Regards

Paul

These reel adaptors are now newly produced!

Thats great news Edwin..

Do you think you will also be doing the Wormwheel for the 900 series Eumigs? They are badly needed.

Hi Frank,

The wormwheel for the Eumig 900 series is probably something we can make. I will make a project for this. Please send me some pictures of the (defect) wheel and which wheel you require.
(to info@van-eck.net)

Frank, which wormwheel are you referring to? I've never had a problem with any of the geras inside Euming 900 series projectors... I wish someone could 3D print their soundheads, instead, but of course that's a totally different thing.

Maurizio, you have never spoken a more truer word regarding your sound head comment!!

I know Edwin, with his commitment to doing everything he can to preserve all the better Super 8mm and 16mm machines, is looking into the possibility of this also.

I for one, as I am certain you will agree Maurizio, am just hope he can pull something off with this also. If he managed to achieve this feat for us all, it would be nothing short of miraculous in this day and age!!

Here's hoping with fingers, toes and just about everything else, well and truly crossed.

Maurizio.

I have emailed you some pics of broken worm gears from Eumig 900 series machines.
Perhaps you can post one of those pics here for me, for all to see.

Edwin:
I tried to order a PP-0016 adapter at your site but was not able to do it. I filled in all my information and in the "Payment Method" page, I chose the online payment option but when I then clicked on "Next Step" I just got a message box that read: "Processing, one moment please". After about 30 minutes of trying and getting that same message, I gave up.

We get many online orders each day. If there is a problem there might be a temporary technical problem with the site. Please try again a little later. If that does not work, please send an E-mail with your order and we handle it manually.

I have always found Edwins site to work very well indeed but even if it hadn't,Edwin is such a helpful guy who speaks good English etc, so ordering a product should never be a problem using one method or another, perhaps even the good old fashioned telephone call! Lol.

The take up reel can be either super 8 or 8mm for a dual machine does this make a difference? it looks like his is set for 8mm? can one use a 8mm take up reel?

Is currently being printed. Expect first test results in 1-2 weeks.

I once spent over an hour trying to find where that reel adapter fell to, only to realize that my wife, who was hoovering the carpet, had collected it in the debris bag! I had to dig it out of a lot of dust and all. Frustrating!!!!

Hi Edwin

That diagram is an excellent copy of the original. It is a very complex part and we all hope the component testing goes well.

According to what I have seen and what I have already from the 3D printer Frank, I am certain it will. I am sure you can buy in total confidence when the time comes. After all where else are you gonna get one of these from?

Hi Andrew,
You are very optimistic about these printed products and most of us feel the same and want them to succeed because we need the products.

Another potential Eumig 926 spare part that I will ask Edwin to look at making, is the small red plastic sound head tensioning clip.
These delicate red plastic clips are supposed to turn 90 degrees to release the pressure plate for access to the sound heads. They usually break when you turn them as they are so delicate and brittle. It doesn't look like a complex part to me.

Has anyone else had these red plastic clips break on them when removing or refitting the sound pressure plate.?
I will try to post a pic of it.

The small red plastic sound head tensioning clip at the Eumig:
More than 10 years ago this part broke at my Eumig 926.
I filled this part ( inside ) with 2-component adhesive. Since that time this part didn`t break anymore

Yes it's a good suggestion that one. Mine is hanging on for dear life. The same part is fitted on 926,938 & 940 models.
It is a particularly vulnerable and flimsy part on these.
