I was doing researches on super 8 Canon models on Super 8 wiki. I am curious about Canon 512XL, is it popular for everyone to buy it. Like Canon 814 or 1014. I noticed not everyone has this camera. Is it unpopular model or was not? [Confused]

Interesting, i never knew it was not popular as the older models. How come almost no one does not have Canon 814XL but it is similar to Canon 512XL, I guess everyone wants a longer zoom lens or variable shutter degree features on the camera. Maybe no one wants a existing light (XL) system feature on their cameras? Because it does make pictures look soft.

I own 2 Canon 514XLS super 8 cameras (I have had owned several over the years) Not only do I use them regularly but I loan them to my undergraduate film students, and recommend that if they want their own camera to get a 514, as its alos great for animation. Cheers

I finally won a bid on Canon 512XL, just few hours ago. It was intense bidding. Oh well its worth it anyways. [Big Grin]

I am curious that about the digital interval timers would work with the Canon 512XL remote plug? To make a time lapse footage.
