Hello Leon!

I have a ISCO-GOTTINGEN ISCOMORPHOT 16/2X scope lens. I got a good deal on mine ...I paid $50 but I'm sure it's worth more but I don't honestly know how much. It is a great lens and it works fine with my ELMO ST 1200. I have it on a home made mount and it is attached to the front of the projector and swings out of the way when not needed.

Hope that helps...maybe someone would have a better idea of a fair price for you.

Hi,

the S8/2x was officially available in several versions. See http://super8wiki.com/index.php/Anamorphic_Lenses#2x_Anamorphic_attachments
There's even an "anamorphic projection lens" with the anamorphic part being an integral part of the projection lens (normally sold as "8/2x" (=without "S" before the "8"):
http://super8wiki.com/index.php/Anamorphic_Lenses#2x_Anamorphic_lenses

Keep in mind that
a) in some auctions on eBay the sets are incomplete.
b) that the "screws into a Kiptaron 1.3/20mm"-version is very bulky and hence can't be used in e.g. the Bauer T610
c) all versions are "tiny" and might cause problems (vignetting) when used with a non-20mm projection lens
d) the attachment-versions are only "fixed focus" (and hence have been much cheaper when new). (I don't see any major differences to focus-able lenses in my usual setup as I only do have a small screen. But when used in other setups, it's obvious that this iscomorphot is cheaper - especially in the corners.)

Leon,
From interpreting the Super8 Wiki information and also from my practical experience of this lens.... it is a fixed focus anamorphic attachment and should give good results at all normal distances used in the home.
