hi Sjef, You cant thread these by hand nor should you ever have to try. They don't have a top sprocket and so it relies on you poking the film down to the claw finger which then should hook on and start threading film the rest of the way through to the only sprocket at the rear. SO check to make sure the film gate is shut properly or it won't thread film at all and ensure the end of the film is trimmed. Try again and see how you go this time.
