Need some light (pun) shed on Fletcher Films. Anyone know this ebay seller--(19funkin73)--Location (101,Iceland). Has a few Charlie Chaplin films I would be interested in. I do recall something about Fletcher Films on this forum. Boy , being new at this film thing sure creates a lot of excitement! Trust it will never end!!

Bruce if you like Charlie Chaplin, just focus on Blackhwak release or Walton Film (UK) or Picollo (Italy). It is sharper and better. Some films coma with musical track(sound). As far as I follow a 400' Blackhwak usually sold around $8-15/each. They are come so often on Ebay. Just be patient.

I think Fletcher is kind of B-rated company. And Chaplin is silent there.

good luck!

Fletcher has been discussed before, here. They were a cheapscate company, offering the least possible footage per reel, but put in fine plastic boxes. The best thing they did, in my opinion, is the release of four (of the five) Bubbly and Squeek british cartoons made by George Moreno,Jr ,in fine complete color editions.

Just do not bother with this company. It's mentioned on the previos post. Waste of time quality and at the time they released these prints they was a no go on the market. Plenty of better company's releasing prints far better than Fletcher.

I only have one release by them....

STEAM TRAINS ON PARADE

Very nice colorful plastic case (like the Techno boxes) and spot on color, nice print. Sorry, I don't know anything about the company but judging from my one print they can't be too bad...can they?
