Any info anywhere on this machine? Not sure if "Terta" is the Manufacturer or just a Model.
This is the first time I have ever come across a machine with this name attached.

I had a quick google search and saw Dixon Terta 8, which doesn't clear up the make-or-model question. Do you have a photograph?

I have a Terta 16mm projector that when all life is extinguished
on Earth and everything we hold dear has turned to dust.........
the Terta 16mm will still be here.I have never seen a projector as solid or well made as this thing. It also weighs a ton.

My Google search brought up nothing .... now I realise that it had automatically changed it to TETRA. A search for TERTA brought up Radios.... a well known Hungarian make. So prompted by Hugh I tried TERTA PROJECTOR and the 16mm model, which has pictures showing similarities with this 8mm one, came up (see http://www.novacon.com.br/odditycameras/kinga.htm.
And this very interesting site comes up...
http://collectionsonline.nmsi.ac.uk/info.php?s=projector&type=all&t=objects
Also a reference to "Dixons Terta 8 Sound Projector".
Now, this is interesting as this machine (I've only seen a photo so far) clearly has no sound head, BUT it does have Controls relating to sound, including what appears to be a Volume Control!

So I'm about to acquire it on Freecycle! When I do, I'll open it up and see what is inside.
Thanks for the pointers, gentlemen!
Martin
