I am such a picky eater and know for sure that restaurant food isn't for me. I rather go have a baguette or something. Thanks for the invite, but isn't also the dinner sold out?

If we can hang out in the lounge, I am happy with that. Want the talk, not the food :-)

Hello Vidar, no the dinner tickets are not all sold by any means.
For £20 you get the dinner (vegetarian if you want),the film quiz,
the chance to buy raffle tickets (£1 each, good prizes are to be had) and the film show.. If you don't want the dinner you can buy
an 'Entertainment only' ticket for £3 which incidentally a number
of people do just this, this gives you access to our private dining
room after the dinner at about 9.30 pm the chance buy to buy raffle tickets and to sit down and watch the film show and of course meet and chat to fellow collectors . Which ever ticket is bought
dinner or Entertainment ticket you are sure of a warm welcome

For dinner or entertainment tickets contact Adrian Winchester
his tel. no. is listed on a previous page for this topic.

regards Dave...

Apologies to anyone who may have had difficulty contacting me, but I recently managed to squeeze in my first holiday for three years!

Many thanks to all who have booked so far for the Saturday night dinner at Blackpool - I'm delighted to say that bookings have already reached the level of last year, so I'm sure this year's will be the best-attended since the Derann era. There's still plenty of time to book - email me via here or 'phone 020 8656 0168. The price is £20, or free if you are already booked into the Hilton for Dinner, Bed & Breakfast. You get three courses of the Hilton's impressive cuisine, plus coffee.

'Entertainment Only' tickets (for anyone dining elsewhere) are £3 and admit you, as David has mentioned, from 9.30pm to the room for the private bar, the sensational raffle and the film show presented by Simon McConway, which I know will include some surprisingly recent Super 8 footage amongst the rare content featured. 'Entertainment Only' admission can be paid on the night, but please let me know in advance so that I have some idea of the number of extra chairs needed. Of course, collectors are very welcome to opt for talking in the lounge instead, but any intending to could perhaps flag it up here, to confirm that there will be someone to talk to!

Information sheets will be emailed/sent to all who have booked later this month.

William, Blackpool has more hotels and guest houses than any other seaside town in the UK I would guess.
Most are very very reasonable because of the above statement (competition being strong), therefore in mid November, I would imagine you can have the pick of the bunch. Long gone are the days when Blackpool illuminations attract thousands to flock there for an overnight stay.

THE LANCASHIRE CINEMAZIA
Friday 14th November 2014 8PM.
Hilton Hotel, Blackpool.

All arrangements are now complete for the Friday evening FCC prelude which will be a meet and greet evening along with two programmes of Lancashire themed films.
Programme 1 Super 8 projected on the GS1200 'Northern Light'
Programme 2 16mm feature from the David Guest collection.

In-between this I have booked a special and if I may say excellent cabaret artist recently heard of radio and stage you will not want to miss.

This evening is a great opportunity to socialise and enjoy the entertainment for early bird attendees with entry being entirely free! Come and enjoy the show...
