As much the as anything else on this forum, I tend to watch the active members number at the top of the screen.
I use this as a guage as to whether or not the hobby is gaining or indeed losing momentum. It would be wonderful, I have to say, to see the number hit 4000 again.
So come on everyone, do your bit to promote this wonderful hobby to everyone you know in the hope that maybe... just maybe... 10% of your enthusiasm may just rub off!!

Now only 1 more required!! Maybe I will get my pet chicken to join the forum! He likes most of the films we have on but for some reason he won't watch Chicken Run
yippee.. my chicken managed to join and now we have 4K members!! He is after "The Wrong Trousers" if anyone can help as his cousin plays a major part in the film, or was it a Penguin? Ha Ha!

And there was me hoping for 4020! Now up to 4041, just amazing in such a short space of time. Well done everyone who has promoted the hobby recently. It sure seems to be working!

When I started this thread only a couple of months ago numbers had dipped below 4k. It is brilliant that through the shear enthusiasm of all of our members we are now almost at 4100! Just 9 More!!
Keep up the the good work, spread the word everyone of what a fantastic forum we have here.. forget Facebook.. here is where your true companions are,.. and very soon we shall, no doubt be celebrating 4100 members that just love the chat associated with "REAL" film.. just like we all remember!

Come on everyone, one last surge this evening. 99 is such an odd number with nowhere near as nice a ring to it as 100.
We will then have added over 100 brand new members to our forum in just over 3 months. Over 3% growth in just over 3 months! Where will it all end!!

With all these, is it any wonder we can't have a huge gathering at CINEFEST, CINEVENT, or CINESEA - Travel notwithstanding, it would the same if we (USA) took flight to Europe, much as you (Europe) took flight to our shows - To reconcile two extremes, there is a common courtesy, and we have it; motion pictures - Cheers, Shorty

Have you noticed, Andrew, that even with all the posts you put on this thread your "number of posts" is stuck at 1373? Kevin's is stuck also..... In fact, it appears to be general!!!! Martin

Thick as two short planks, as usual, Andrew! What I didn't realise is that the "number of posts" figure updates on EVERY PREVIOUS post when a post is added. I had presumed it gave the number OF the post. Put it down to age! Martin
