Thanks Martin & Maurice.
If my projection distance is 5 meters or above will this lens be fine. I would love advice if you don't mind.
Regards Garry.

It's quoted at 5 metres minimum, o should be fine at distances over that. Expensive lens new: how much would you be paying? Use the "Post reply" to answer, no need for new topic.

142 Australian dollars.
On wear or fungus on glass, just some minor clamp marks on housing.
What would you suggest for attaching lens.

From what I can see from an eBay ad it looks like a 35mm cinema combined anamorphic lens. By this I mean a backing lens and anamorphic all-in-one. These were very common place in cinemas in the last days of 35mm.

If I am correct, it will be no good for you as you need an anamorphic lens which goes in front of your projector's lens.

It's price of (approx.) 79 GBP reflects my thoughts.

Maurice,
It's listed under "2 x Attachments" in the following link ....(section 13, 7th one down)
http://super8wiki.com/index.php/Anamorphic_Lenses#2x_Anamorphic_attachment
and the listing gives details of the "primary lenses" it is suitable for.

But I agree with you, it looks suspiciously like a primary assembly!

Garry,
If you are after a scope lens l have a spare Rectimascope lens on eBay at the moment.
If you are interested in it send me a message I'm asking $100 plus postage, this is a great lens for 16mm/super8.
