Sorry to bug everyone with my confusion and inexperience but...

I'm really fuzzy on the widescreen lens thing.

I recall reading once that I could buy an anamorphic lens for, say, a 16mm projector and prop it in front of the existing lens of my Sankyo 500 and it would work. Is that correct? Doesn't seem quite right.

I'd really like to get a lens but I don't want to buy something that wont work. Would I need to cobble together an adapter? Any help would be appreciated!

The lens would probably be fine, but yes...something to hold in front of the prime projector lens ..there's the rub. You are right.
