Since Paul Adsett asked me to find how does the Pathéscope building now, while he only had the road name not the number, so I made a little reasech.

I finally found an article regarding Pathé in this site:

http://www.cinerdistan.com/16/2-uncategorised/490-history-2

It is mentioned

quote:
But in 1932, with a full reduction printing and processing plant installed at Pathcope's newly built Cricklewood works at 970, North Circular Road,...
So it is confirmed that the address is:

970 North Circular Road, Cricklewood, LondonTo findd what is now, it is very easy, just put onto google, and it will show this:

http://www.atlanticelectrics.co.uk/

So using google, you can find this from top side:

 -

and today's building is here:

 -

This is the bird view from the old time:

 -

And this is the building in 1929 (has already been owned by Pathe)

 -

From an old catalog it is also mentioned that the head office is in 5 Lisle Street:

 -

It is now a restaurant "Slug and Lettuce"

https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186338-d943273-Re views-Slug_and_Lettuce-London_England.html

And this is the building today:

 -

Anyonce has visited this during Pathe's time?

cheers,

I visited the North Circular Rd address when they started selling "Pathecolour" (Ferrania) sometime around 1954 to have my Dekko camera take up adjusted. The new stock created problems with the charger loading cameras. I slipped in the "gate" when the claws withdrew creating jittering pictures. I am not quite old enough to have visited Lisle Street as Pathescope had moved long before. Sometime in the early thirties I think. In any case, I would not have been encouraged to go there anyway as it was part of the "red light" district. [Wink] Ken Finch.
