I use a simple method : a cotton cloth with Filmguard on it to put the product on the film. When I rewind the film, I use a dry cotton cloth to remove the excess of the product. The thing is that I'm not sure where it is possible to buy Filmguard from at the moment. Paul Foster doesn't sell it anymore and I saw Nothing about that on Jack Roe's website. A French seller had Filmguard for a while but it seems that is no longer legal to sell it in France due to new environmental regualtions.

Looking at the Jack Roe website, they seem to offer ticketing services and cinema supplies. I guess they supply FilmGuard in bulk as an earlier poster said he'd ordered some for almost £100.

£100 is more than probably for the original large size bottle. Rebottled product has been sold for a while in smaller quantity but it has been advised to avoid it. With a large bottle, you can clean a lot of films.

You don't need much FilmGuard to treat film and one application lasts a long time. With the cine footage I have, paying almost £100 for a bottle which would outlive me makes no sense. It was available in smaller quantities from other companies once but not now, it seems.

On the FilmGuard explenation, it sais that the first tima aplaing this will give a lightshine, which disappears the second time. Is this only when using dry web media cleaner? I'm going to add FilmGuard with my rewinders en hold the film between my vingers with a FilmGuard soaked cloth.
Does it also repair film that have been wet from water? Or is Film Renew better for that?
