I have just acquired a file of an actual 35MM print, telecined from a fellows actual archived technicolor print. it's unrestored and looks lovely with all the film grain and occasional scratch. It looks to appear to have no bad splices or loss of footage ...

My question is, as a general rule, do all 35MM projectors project and play at 24 fps? If so, it would appear that this would make a very good source for doing recordings for a super 8 print of this film.

Just curious. [Smile]

Osi yes 24fps is the normal film speed for 35mm projectors.
However telecined may have been at 25fps PAL frame rate. [Smile]

Osi-If you have a quicktime you can open up the prperties and it will tell you what the frame rate is.
