I read a few years back that polishing the sound head with a metal polish could give better sound. Removing tarnish/buildup etc.

Now this was on a forum about 8 track players but I didn't want to try it on a projector without checking here first!

Personally, i have only ever used sound head cleaner fluid on a cotton bud, then another bud to take off any residue. Always works for us [Wink]

I just use alcohol on a swab, then immediately blow it dry with air duster...
