Someone sending me films to scan, also revealed a cartridge of Kodak K40. Type A
All these years later it never got developed. It is there any point in pursuing this to a stage where it could be seen again, or just dump it in the trash?

Brian The Old Film Company offer such a process of b/w processing of old Kodachrome. They develop as a negative and, if successful, transfer to a DVD. But, it's not cheap. http://www.theoldfilmcompany.com/Page5_1.htm
