Hello all, I have 2 GS1200 each have developed an issue.
GS1: The take up motor has become intermittent, sometimes it works, sometimes not.

GS2: However i load a film it jitters on screen, loop restore does nothing BUT, if I press down on the green auto load button it completely steadies the picture, I let go and its jittery again.

Of interest is there anyone in the UK (Im in Bristol) who can repair/service the big brands ie Elmo , Beaulieu etc etc. I see a lot of sources in the USA but nothing here, your advice welcome. Cheers and thanks

Mark, Your two problems with the GS1200. Could be 1- take up Intermittent. It looks like the Relay the larger one. On bottom circuit board. It runs the take up or the constant voltage control board. That's near the rewind motor! Check it out. 2- The picture Jitters? Check Aperture plate or pressure plate. Its Either worn or pressure plate springs are weak! Also check top loop to see if its to high! If it is take a phillp screw driver and loosening the top sprocket wheel. Than turn by hand slightly than tighten it up! Good luck! Leon Norris.
