Hi guys,
I'm not a collector of Super 8, but I have with me a full movie in Scope of Die Hard on Super 8 from Derann , and a print of Police Academy 2 , the 1200' version also from Derann.
Here's what I have :
Die Hard Scope English - Excellent color , so far I could not view the print because it has been mounted on 1 Beaulieu size reel ( 600 meters ) and 1 Elmo size reel ( 360 meters ). I have a little projector here for fun but can only play 180 meters ( 600' ) to view I'll need to split it.
Police Academy 2 is normal picture , excellent color , on 2x600', this one I could view if necessary.
It is the widow of a collector who asked me to sell them for her. Her husband had an expensive Bealieu Super 8 projector which she sold already.
I want to tell collectors here , if you look for those movies they are here with me in mainland Europe.
If you look for them from the USA, shipping is insured extra 6 euro , shipping cost 32,00 euro for Police Academy 2 and same insurance is 6 euro and shipping is 63,00 euro for Die Hard.
I can view them after the summer, first I planned to list them on eBay USA in September, of course that would raise the price as I checked and eBay would take 10% fee.
The lady didn't set a price , she asked me to do the best I could.
If collectors are interested my email is salvoterram (at) gmail (dot) com.
I'll reply on every email and I have Skype as well.
Let's hope I can find a new home for both movies through this site, before I need to list them on eBay.
If I have more nice Super 8 movies coming my way, I can always try this route first, before eBay if this works out.
God Bless you all,
Gilbert

Gilbert your Die Hard Movie may well be left alone as it already is.
Many collectors would intend to watch it only with one split in mind ideally anyhow.

I can accommodate it as is, and if you know of its condition or have a price in mind, please PM me.

If it's in top order, which I'd expect it to be as its only ever been used with a Beaulieu, I'd be most interested thank you.

I was tempted but I'm not getting drawn into an online auction with who makes the largest bid, I'd like it but not that much.

Die hard ... one of those very repeatable feature films ...

"Come to L.A. ... have a few laughs!"

... which has been repeated quite a few times in our house, with so many wonderful bits of dialogue ...

"Hey, I'm not the one who just got (ummm, naughty) on live television!!"

"Does it sound like I'm ordering a (freakin) pizza?!!"

[Smile]

I agree. That is what Ebay is for. There should at least be a starting price, a ballpark figure, something.

Hi guys,
I had to make a decision about Die Hard that would be in the interest of the lady who asked me to sell it for her.
It's done and I received payment already.
Sorry for those who are disappointed. Sadly I had only one print. It was sold without me having to split it.
I will search around to find a few more. God Bless you all, Gilbert
