I wonder if anyone has for sale any full-length horror features available in Super 8, in particular Universal monster classics, as well as THE EXORCIST, PSYCHO, THE THING, POLTERGEIST. DR STRANGELOVE (I know, not horror but brilliant). INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS. Also interested in full length MARX BROS and WOODY ALLEN titles.
I'd much rather work through the forum than eBay for so many reasons.

As far as I know, the only availability of The Exorcist on Super 8mm are the 400' & 3x400' versions. Dr. Strangelove was put out by Columbia on Super 8mm and is very rare.

It's so frustrating. What a shame DVD's and other digital formats virtually killed such a wonderful pursuit. I've been catching up on all the amazing posts on the forums circa early 2000 when you could still purchase readily available features, and its kind of sad. But I'm not giving up!

Hi Gary,

I believe that you could order a new Super 8 print of Psycho from The Reel Image. It's also possible someone out there might have a used print out there for you. It's also out there in standard 8.

As I'm sure you know, you can find Poltergeist in scope or non-scope on Super 8.

I have seen digests of Marx Bros movies on Super 8 but don't see that many features come up for sell. I think it would be easier to find them on 16mm. Here is another thread talking about Marx bros films on Super 8.

Thanks Jason. I have written to Steve about PSYCHO, but if anyone on the Forum has an 8mm one for sale I'd be interested, I do have a regular 8mm sound projector. I've only seen Poltergeist for sale once recently, but I keep looking. Thanks for the lead on the Marx Bros. The only feature I've seen so far is LOVE HAPPY.

You can look also for BROADWY DANNY ROSE,THE PURPLE ROSE OF CAIRO and ZELIG,all optical and TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN.
