I'm always looking for this one with good color. Odds are I'm not going to find one with great color but possibly with passable color (yeah, i know, "passable' is in the eyes of the beholder). This was one of those that was printed on quick QUICK fade eastman, but i hope to find one on another color stock as, sometimes optical sound features, depending on the film lab, would use different film stocks.

Well, I would hope so, but this is a print that, from every print that I have seen, printed on quick fade eastman and every print has had some level of pinking to the print.
My "master print, (so to speak), as of this time, for instance, had nearly every color BUT the blacks are no longer black, brown instead and so it throws off all the colors, of course.
... but then again, (as i have stated at previous times), I have ran across different film stocks on "The earthling" 1980 , on Kodak SP AND on some other stock that, while it does have some "lightening" to the color, it has apparantly held onto it's color fairly well ...
The same holds true for reel 2 of "thunderball" (super 8 optical feature) where, all the classics that were re-ssued were on quick fade eastman, but this reel 2 has amazingly held onto spot on colors ...
So, the POTENTIAL is out there for a ood Gorky ...
My dream scenario?
As with many oprints ...
Someone out there, has a daddy who collected, who has a whole bunch of cored optical sound features they haven't even touched, stored in a cool dry place, and they have spot on colors, and they sell them to me.
That is not as far fetched as it may sound, as I did that once! I won an ebay auction for three cored optical features about ten or so years ago! They were ...
Force 10 From Navronne Matilda (boxing kangaroo film/kids film) Something Short of paradise (romantic comedy)
... and in the case of all of these, they were, and still are, spot on in color ...
So, yes, my dream scenario can become a reality again!
