This is standard 8mm only. I repaired the rubber wheel that drives the shutter. I really don't need it so I am selling it here for about the shipping cost. Good bulb and runs good. I only ask for 10.00 for shipping.

I will also swap for super 8mm sound films.

Hi, Pat,

I'm not familiar with this model, so I have some questions:

The projector is manual thread, right?

Is it known to be gentle on film, do you know?

Are the bulbs easily replaceable these days?

I might be interested, except that I really need something that is gentle on film and for which I can get new bulbs.

Just let me know!

http://www.super8data.com

Is the best site to search projector info, including type of bulb.

Bulb may be expensive on this model, but youll get a bright picture.

Hi, Pat,

Very respectfully, is there a reason you have not answered my questions concerning the projector?

I realize it may now be a moot point, given that you are apparently giving the projector to Brian, but even so I am compelled to ask.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

I've had my share of senior moments lately too, Pat. Have I ever!

No worries, then. I'm glad this good projector is going to a good home. :-)

Pat,

I know you'd like me to delete this thread since the projector is gone, however since other members have replied to this topic it will have to stay.

"Sold" is good, although I thought the phrase "No Longer Available" worked.

David...I have one of these units...to answer your questions...

It is a smooth running little projector and the one I have is gentle on films, at least the ones I ran through it. It is manual thread. But the bulbs are expensive to replace...I need a bulb for mine (in the $50-70 range) and I have a better unit (Bolex) so it is just setting on the shelf...waiting until I can score a deal on a bulb.

Bill

See my thread on lamp conversion. You can get a halogen socket from alleletronics.com for 3.00+7.00 shipping. Then get a ESD halogen bulb on ebay 12.99 w/shipping. Same 120v 150w only halogen. Total invested 22.99. Done! [Wink]
