Looking for a small amount of film leader. I dont need a whole 50 ft maybe only 10 ft or so of super 8mm leader.I have no preference on color or if its used. Just need a little bit to put on a few films.

Just bought 50' that I'll probably never consume. Email me your USPS mailing address, and I will send you some.

No charge.

My pleasure. It will go to the US Post Office tomorrow.
This gives me an opportunity to "pay forward" a favor provided to me by a forum member - Zechariah Sporre - some weeks ago. I was working a telecine bulb brightness issue, and he popped up offering a free bulb that I needed. (I sure did not want to experiment with my only lamp!) He mailed it to me for free, So... "It's all good!"

Super 8 has smaller perforations holes and a larger picture size. The easiest way to be sure is to compare with one of your super 8 films. If the leader is not the same gauge as your film, you will see it immediately.

I think I need my eyes checked. Difficult to tell which is which. 16mm easier. Anyways I think I own more 8mm than super 8

I appreciate the leader,very helpful

If you cannot see a difference it may be because all your films are the same gauge. Otherwise, from the size of the perforation you can tell what it is : small holes : super 8, larger holes (same size as 16mm) : regular 8.

Yeah,I noticed Super 8 is aligned to the middle of the frame. 8mm is on the break.

Does super 8 have a bigger picture than reg 8?

The regular 8 mm spools have a small hole in the centre, the super 8 ones have a big hole. It may help.
