This M8 has a 150watt, 15volt A1/232 lamp. It is fully rewired, has a dim/bright switch, neon speed indicator with SCR motor control and facility for synch connection. For UK use only at 240volts. £50+P&P

I confirm that this motor is a commutator type with brushes and it leads itself to accurate synchronising.

Yes it is. Note that it is for 240volts use only because of the transformer inside for the new lamp. John

Viktor. I have just tested the M8 on a 220 volt ac supply and it works well at that voltage. A bonus is that the lamp will last longer and there is hardly any reduction in light value on the screen. John

I am so sorry but I do not know how to send pictures by computer. I do not have the correct camera for this but if you need any further details please ask me.

Thanks I`m just not sure where I am going film wise, I can hardly walk etc at the moment.

I might need to go back to 8mm if anything.

Many Thanks Mark.

Hi John,
I'm interested in your Bolex M8 and would like to buy it right away if it is still available for sale. I'm fascinated that it is possible to fit an A1/232 lamp into the projector. It should give a much brighter picture than the original lamp. 240V should be no problem for Germany.
I don't know why it isn't possible to send me an email through the board, I haven't blocked it in my profile. Perhaps you can try to send me a private message.
