Hello everyone

Following a 2 month period with no free time for cine, 8mm Forums or anything hobby wise I am at last rolling the reels again!

I have continued to take stock of what I need and don't need for my hobby as all my shows are now at my home or at my relative's houses, so here are a couple of very nice and rare Elmo lenses surplus to my requirements:

*** ELMO LONG THROW LENS NOW SOLD THANK YOU ***

ELMO Long Throw Lens F1.2 25mm to 50mm Zoom

Made for use in any of the later Elmo Super 8 range of projectors - from the ST600, ST800 and ST1200 up to the GS800 and GS1200, this lens is perfect for use in longer rooms or halls where you would otherwise have to site your projector in the middle of the audience.

In excellent condition, clear glass, no fungus, really the best lens ever made by Elmo for Super 8 use - this is the F1.2 version as used at the BFCC in London so those who have attended there will know of the quality produced by this model. Complete with its original card box and soft pouch as shown below.

The price is £195 plus £10 for UK mainland postage by Special Delivery. I can post overseas but obviously will need to charge more for the postage. Payment by PayPal only, thank you.

Also for sale is my very rare Schneider F1.1 11mm to 30mm zoom lens again for all Elmo Super 8 projectors. This has the original Elmo sleeve which was supplied by the Widescreen Centre in the 1980s / early 1990s - similar sleeves are available at cost these days made in plastic from computer 3d printing or some home brew ones from steel tubing, however none of them come close to the smooth perfect fit quality of this sleeve.

The lens is clear and fungus free and produces a beautiful high contrast sharp picture indeed the ideal upgrade lens from the standard Elmo F1.3 or F1.1 models.

Supplied with its original lens cap and Schneider box and outer Widescreen centre box.

The price is £180 plus £10 for UK mainland postage by Special Delivery. I can post overseas but obviously will need to charge more for the postage. Payment by PayPal only, thank you.

Thank you Andrew and my best wishes to you and your family too - we are all fine thank you I have just been trying to fit more than 24 hours into each day split between two houses and some heavy duty house maintenance at both sites so too knackered for the finer things in life!

I have one of those superb Elmo 1.2 lenses and can certainly recommend it to anyone putting on shows in larger venues. I wondered if the soft pouch mine came with was provided by Elmo with the lens, so I'm grateful to Kevin for confirming this via the photo! Considering that Elmo sold one or two of their other lenses in hard cases, it's surprising that they took a different approach with this one.

Hello Paul. It's great to be back home with enough spare time for the hobby again - I should add a caveat to my description to account for your superb special order lens sleeves too - your 16mm Schneider to Elmo one is a beauty, thank you.

Adrian - I'm pleased to be of service and happy to know you enjoyed the picture of my pouch!

Dominique - my reply to your PM will follow in a moment, thank you.

I'm the happy buyer of the Schneider lens. It is exactly as Kevin described it. I wanted a lens that could give a bigger picture and the difference with the Elmo lenses is very noticeable. Kevin sent me the lens quickly and it was very well packed so I have all reasons to be happy. Thanks.

Many thanks for the excellent news Dominique, it's great to hear the lens arrived safely and you are enjoying using it. Once again thank you for buying my cine items.

All the best, Kevin.

Well done Dominique. Anything Kevin hands out is quality and this lens can never disappoint.
They are overall, about as good as they come on a consistent basis.

I remember the xenovaron being sold with the sleeve of your choice, from the widescreen centre years ago. that meant you could buy the lens and obtain extra sleeves to cover all future needs. how I wish I had done that!
now I have 2 of these ,Bauer fit,and they are very good lenses, best of all, very big picture at a short throw.

Hello Phil and thank you for your enquiry - yes my Elmo long throw lens is still available and I will send you a PM message in a minute.

Not sure why your message to me was blocked - my PM messaging is nowhere near full and the only blocked member on there is 'Mr Stunning' the dodgy Disney feature seller who sold me some duff prints earlier this year.

***ELMO LONG THROW LENS NOW SOLD THANK YOU ***
