Just screened the full feature from Derann wow what a transfer. Razor sharp, strong sound and great contrast and colors (Technicolor)
This is the 1948 version with Lana Turner, Gene Kelly, Vincent Price and more. What a cast.
The movie runs a little over two hours. Aspect Ratio 1.37:1
The budget for this movie was $4,474,000. That was a lot of money back in 1948.

Storyline

The hectic adventures of D'Artagnan, a young provincial noble who just comes to Paris to enter the musketeers. He will meet action, love, hate, the king and the queen as his impetuousness gets him involved in political plots... and of course virile and indestructible friendship with the three musketeers Athos, Porthos and Aramis.

I've seen this film before from other screenshots and i must say that it is one of the truly GORGEOUS techniclor as well as Derann prints from an excellent source. A great find! Thanks for showing it off! [Smile]

Have this in my collection too. Bought from Derann as a white box lab fault. Now I had bought a film with a lab fault before, printed too dark. In fact need a 2 million watt bulb. My Three Musketeers was almost perfect, except for about ten seconds. It was like the negative had jumped off the printer and made pretty rainbow patterns. Other than that great.

in my print are exactly the same 10 seconds of "rainbow patterns"; at the scene of the first appearance of Milady de Winter...
How does they say in CE3K: "You are not alone"...

I thought to have a look for the "rainbow pattern". I did not find one, but My print does have a few scenes where what appears as "green snow" drifts in briefly then out. An example can be seen in the screen capture below:

This was probably a lab issue, but the rest of the print is stunning.

AS they printed double rank if the negative jumped on one run there would be just 2 copies. I have the cartoon Bad Luck Blackie that has a similar fault, not patterning but print off centre and visible sprocket holes from the negative just before the end.
