David has sent me a PM but as his mail box is full I am replying via this Forum.

The question is would a transformer he has for an Ampro Precision projector work for an Ampro Stylist.

I have never handled a Precision which I believe was an early American silent model later brought out in this country as the Imperial.

The Stylist is a sound model made in this country, and as such, it seems that the plugs/sockets would be very different.

I have an Ampro Stylist New Educational single case model which runs on 240 volt mains without an external transformer. It uses the same Jones 4-pin plug that the Bell & Howell sound projectors use. HOWEVER, whilst the socket is the same, the internal wiring is NOT.

Therefore, I considerer that David's transformer, as is, would not connect.
