Hi Jason. I run an Elmo XP550 which, mechanically speaking, is essentially the same machine with a slightly more powerful lamphouse. It's my favorite 16mm projector. Period. Easy to use, kind on films, great sound (thanks to the extra sprocket wheel).

I would add this. The 3 sprocket mechanism that is on the XP and other Elmo machines is a beautiful classic design if you like hand-lacing. It is the same one they chose for their professional LX pedestal machines as well as the F series. Just perfect and classic. You might find you spend as much time watching the mechanism as the film!
