Hello all, i have here,(and will be selling it on), a lens that i bought some years ago. It was originally bought by us years ago for the Eiki NT1. The problem with this one is,although a great great image, you cannot use the projectors focus knob and it is a very tight fit so focusing has to be done manually which i find unsatisfactory especially as it decimated the rubbery/silicone thing the actually fits around the focus knob pin that makes contact with the lens in order for it to focus, if you get my drift [Roll Eyes]
So what machine would this lens fit as a straight in fit, the grooves in the lens barrel are,as you can see, very course compared to those used as standard on the NT1 [Wink]

Tom

The picture of the lens has disappeared, but as I remember, it was a Som Berthiot, 40mm, Cinor and possibly f1.5.

Referring to Grahame Newnham's website, in the 9.5 section there is mention of two 9.5mm sound projectors, the Pathe Marignan (1951-1956), and the Pathe Joinville (1954-1958). The lens on both of these is described as Som Berthiot 40mm f1.5 Cinor.

With such a coarse thread your lens is designed for focus adjustment by being turned manually.
