Dear friends,

I have a question:
This afternoon I was seeing a 16mm film, and I had one problem:

The film goes down from the front reel and cover the lense before go to the receipt reel.(sometimes as you see in pictures goes to floor...)If I stop with hand the front reel who had the film, the film continues well to the receipt reel.

What can be the cause? The clutch? the quality of film?

I rewind with projector (not with special 16mm film rewinder) maybe is the reason film with slack? See picture.

I tried with a more little reel and all went well, see picture.

Thanks friends for your help I am worried.

Regards, Arturo.

A video of the problem.

Arturo
The top spool is over running. There should be a slight tension to the spool to prevent this.
There is possibly a problem with the clutch, particularly if you also rewind on the projector.

A small spool would have less weight, and so not over run.
You can obtain manuals from Van Eck.
