Andreas
I'd be wary of buying the colour ones. In answer to a question on the 16mm Forum, I was told that the fading on these is just as bad as on the 8mm prints.

Yes, I believe that to be the case too if not worse. I had some universal cartoons on 16mm and they had gone wine red [Frown]

GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.

Adrian, Kevin,

wine red prints that sounds => [Frown]

Some of universal 8 films from piccolo printed in Germany
starting turn to more and more red too.

But I looking also for the b/w digest which were
never released for the german market on 8mm.

Kevin, could you change this topic to "16mm sale.....".
I choosed the wrong category. [Big Grin]

Thanks

Andreas

Well I have just had in nine of the Universal 8 16mm 800ft cutdowns and the colour is excellent on all of them, much better thean the super 8 versions.

Paul,
That's very interesting. If you were to check and find that any are on low-fade stock, some Universal 8 history will have to be re-written!

... I have received some copies from Paul Foster and I was very happy

no I have a new scanner ....

.... the color of Duel is still very good ....

 -

the color of Earthquake remembers me, when I bought the film new as 8mm version ...

 -

but the 16mm versions are also grainy like the 8mm films ...

Andreas,
Wow, that 'Duel' print looks amazingly good! Presumably it says Eastman on the edge, and it's not from some freak batch of something else? I've had Eastman becoming in warm in about 20 years, and yet I guess those Univeral prints are likely to be at least 25 years old.
