Hi looking for a Polyester copy of king Kng, OK with a censor cut print too.

Also after any other B+W features on 16mm on polyester.

Many Thanks Mark.

Mark - are there definitely Kong Kong polyester prints in circulation?

Hi Adrian yes they are about, but a good acetate tends to look nicer/richer if you will.

I just prefer poly prints.

Best Mark.

I am sure my 16mm copy is on acetate stock and it looks superb.

Much better than those Mountain Super 8mm release copies.

I bought a polyester print of King Kong on Super 8 from Derann but would be surprised if 16mm prints were produced. It was marginally sharper than the Mountain prints with the familiar blueish tint of black and white prints produced from colour stock.

Hi they are about, let one get by me on ebay.com not so long ago.

Went reasonably as not as nice as a good acetate one.

Should of nabbed it.

Best Mark.

Mark why do you prefer poly stock if the acetate stock prints are nicer ? ... ( confused.com ) [Wink]

Personally I hate the feel of poly stock.

To me its not "REAL FILM" but more plastic.

But hey that's just me ! [Big Grin]

Hi David I have very severe OCD etc not had a meal out or anything like that for 20 years this year.

I have an irrational fear of vinegar syndrome ( and lots of other things ) and using, granted, much nicer looking etc acetate stock stress`s me out completely.

So hence I keep to polyester stock now.

Its just my problem I`m a bit stuck with.

Be a lot easier just to stick to LCD projection but love film so much.

Best Mark.

Good luck with your OCD Mark.

My own is just the reverse. I simply hate poly stock even though it is said not to fade or will suffer from the dreaded VS.

I must state that I have only came across VS once in all my years of film collecting. So I am not stressed about that as while it may be the end of a print its not the end of the world.

However Poly stock for me is always going nothing more than lengthy rolls of perforated plastic and not REAL FILM.

That's my OCD problem. [Wink]
