I'm looking for a good and recent 16mm Xenon projector, but I don't know which model and brand and what price I should spend.

Any comment and suggestion?

thanks
Flavio

Hi.
I don’t know a great deal about these Xenons but Buckingham Films once told me the blue Xenon Elfs were better than the Black later machines and more reliable. As I say, I am no expert on these machines but the blue versions do seem to be more popular.
Best wishes.

Hi Flavio,

Have you checked this one out on eBay?

Item No. 280095501974

Cheers,

Dave.

Valves and celluloid - a great combination!
Early technology rules OK!

Thanks David!

I had noticed it, but I don't know Elf machines and furthemore it doesn't appear to me to be a 'recent' model...

I have an Elf 2000A which is a superb and smooth-running machine. With a reliable lamp (which only cost 12p per running hour, when you work it out!!) they are fantastic. The 2000A is the earlier (blue) version of that shown on Ebay in an arlier thread to this message.

Flavio, this is the xenon version of the Eiki NT2. Great machine. Heavy and reliable. Can be harsh on old films if they haven't been lubricated (but not always).
A more recent projector would be the Elmo CX350 or CX550, but they usually trade in the 1500 - 3000 euros area.
